Lauren Post is the Founder and Artistic Director of Co•Lab Dance, which had it’s inaugural season in September 2018. Co•Lab Dance is a summer company, which utilizes off time between seasons to commission, create, and present brand new dance works in intimate performance settings, allowing for unique collaborations and artistic freedom and growth.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Lauren Post began her dance training at the age of three. After moving to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she continued her training under Henry Danton. In 2002, she left home to study at the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida. She joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in January 2008 and the corps de ballet in June 2008. Her repertory includes the third girl in Fancy Free, one of the Nutcracker's Sisters in Alexei Ratmansky's The Nutcracker, the Rancher's Daughter in Rodeo, Rosaline's Friend in Romeo and Juliet, the Italian Princess in Swan Lake, Persephone in Sylvia, and Odalisque in LeCorsair, Zulma in Giselle, and Miette qui Tombent fairy in Sleeping Beauty, and a solo couple in Songs of Bukovina. She created the Silver Fairy in Alexei Ratmansky's The Sleeping Beauty.
Post has also performed in Joshua Beamish's Surface Properties in 2015, with Gemma Bond's Harvest in 2016/2017, and in Isabella Boylston’s Ballet Sun Valley festival in 2017 and 2018.
